Rachael Smith
Rachael is one of our Senior Associate Solicitors and is an admitted Solicitor to the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia.
Rachael attended the University of Wollongong where she completed double degree, Bachelor of Laws – Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting.
Further to this, Rachael has completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, is collaboratively trained, is undertaking a Masters of Family Law and is training to be an Independent Children’s Lawyer.
Since commencing at Family Focus Legal in 2018, Rachael has primarily practiced in Family Law and Wills and Estates and has developed her strong dispute resolution and litigation skills in these areas and beyond.
Rachael has a broad range of experience across all areas of Family Law, including complex parenting and property disputes, divorce, contravention applications, relocation matters, recovery matters, divorce, child support and spousal maintenance.
Further, Rachael has extensive experience in Wills and Estates, including drafting Estate Planning documents, complex Probate and Letters of Administration, contested Estates, including Family Provisions Claims for both the Executor and the claimant.
In addition to this, Rachael has experience in civil litigation matters, including debt recovery and enforcement proceedings.
Rachael has a passion for these areas of law and for helping clients through the unexpected difficulties of life and seeing clients through to the other side of such events in a timely, supported and empathetic manner.
Rachael delivers outstanding results for clients and ensures that throughout each stage, clients are well informed and can consider the best course of action in the circumstances, ensuring cost-effective decisions are being made.
